Taking It Slow

Change takes time. The way you eat and how you move your body are important components of health that aren't easy to change. While it is good to have an idea in your mind of where you want to be at some point in the future, focus on the small and consistent changes you can make now to lead to towards that idea. For example, if you are an omnivore and desire to become completely plant-based, try starting with eating a plant-based meal once a week and gradually increase from there. Or, if you want to increase how much water you drink in a day, start with one glass. Lasting change will take time; remember to be patient as you learn to be disciplined with the progress towards the changes you desire to make this year (and hopefully for the rest of your life)..
